“I’d got to 50 something and I’m not fit. So I’d got a choice. I could have grown old disgracefully and eaten lots of chocolate and got fat. Or I could do something positive which is what I chose to do.
I went along a little bit nervous, a little bit apprehensive but the training is tailored to your specific fitness levels. So you’re not overwhelmed by trying to do too much too soon.
4 years later I’ve got various 5ks, 10ks, 5 mile, 10 mile races, and 3 half marathons under my belt.
If somebody had said to me 4 years ago that I would be running half marathons I would have laughed. But here I am. I am fitter now than I have ever been.
