These exercise classes are likely going to be the best and most enjoyable exercise classes that you will ever experience.

Monday and Wednesday Circuits classes include a variety of different exercises that will help you to significantly improve your all over body fitness, strength, and health.

Saturday Running classes are for complete beginners upwards who want to get into running, or for anyone who wants to get much fitter and improve their running ability.

Join these Exercise Classes and together we will make it happen

There are three classes a week where you can choose to do 1, 2, or 3 each week. These are as follows:

  • Monday Circuits – 6pm at Barnsley Academy (Worsbrough)
  • Wednesday Circuits – 6.30pm at Barnsley Academy (Worsbrough). Different exercises than Monday Circuits
  • Saturday Running – 10am at Locke Park

These exercise classes are run over a 6 week block. The next one starts on week commencing 13th January 2020, and other blocks follow on straight after. You can also join during the 6 weeks.

Remember that it doesn’t matter at all what fitness level you are. Most people are beginners when they start, and many people also want to lose weight.

I joined the exercise classes 3 years ago this month. At that time I was obese and hadn’t ever really exercised regularly.

Since joining the classes I have lost a total of 4½ stones!! I no longer need medication for my blood pressure as it’s returned to normal! My asthma is also more stable than before. My life now is much different. I feel so much better.

I’d got to 50 something and I’m not fit. So I’d got a choice. I could have grown old disgracefully and eaten lots of chocolate and got fat. Or I could do something positive which is what I chose to do.

4 years later I’ve got various 5ks, 10ks, 5 mile, 10 mile races, and 3 half marathons under my belt.

If somebody had said to me 4 years ago that I would be running half marathons I would have laughed. But here I am. I am fitter now than I have ever been.
